Bong Joon-Ho Teams Up for “Tokyo!” Triptych

Bong Joon-Ho, director of the smash hit “The Host” has teamed up with Canadian Michel Gondry (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Be Kind Rewind) and French director Leos Carax (Pola X) to tell three district stories about one of the worlds biggest cities. “Tokyo!” joins recent festival favorites like “Paris, je t’amie” and “New York, I love you” in finding news ways to celebrate cities through film. In Bong Joon-Ho’s “Shaking Tokyo,” Teruyuki Kagawa stars as a “hikikomor,” a man who shuts himself up in his apartment living off of pizza deliveries. “Tokyo!” has just been release on DVD in North America and can be found online with English subs. It is also out on DVD in Korea.
