Seoul International Cartoon and Animation Festival

Starting this Wednesday, July 22 The Seoul International Cartoon and Animation Festival will be held at the Seoul Coex and Lotte Cinema near Konkuk University. This years exhibition celebrates “the 100-year journey of Korean Cartoons and will be screening classic like Taekwon V, Baby Dinosaur Duli, and Full House with animators and directors on hand to sign autographs. A digital cartoon exhibition will held at the SICAF exhibition hall with an award ceremony to be held at Convention Hall, Coex at 4 P.M. on July 23. 420 animations are expected to be in attendance with a total of 423 works from 35 nations in competition. Ticket run w5000 for adults, and w4000 for adolescents and w3000 for children, Night program tickets are all w10000. July 17-19 and July 24-26, animation “sightseeing” will be free of charge at the Seoul national park. Along side the public event is an industry fair running July 22-23 and is free for SICAF ticket holders and w7000 won for for those without.
