The R-16 returns for the third annual BBoy Championships in Incheon. The Bboy Tournament and Urban Arts Festival will go down on Sept 25-27, 2009 at The Incheon Global Fair and Expo Performance Venue with. The programs include Popping & Locking Competitions, Performance Battles, Crew Battles and a concert featuring Drunken Tiger, Epik High, Rakka from Dilated Peoples and Roscoe. There are also some smaller events leading up to the big weekend: a street market, an open bboy circle, and a graffiti battle on Sept. 19-20th at the Incheon Culture and Art Center Park.

16 teams from 15 countries will be competing in the BBoy Crew Battles, a single elimination tournament, for the title of World Champion. The Crew Competition are broken into two categories that judge teamwork, athletic prowess and creativity. The BBoy Crew Performance Competition has teams perform choreographed pieces that are scored by a panel of judges from around the world determining a winner based on choreography on performance. The 2009 Competitors are: SUPERNATURALZ (Canada), STO CREW (China), STICKY RUCKUS (Finland), SILENT TRICKS (France), HUSTLE KIDZ (Holland), ALL AREA CREW (Japan), RIVERS CREW (ROK), POLSKEE FLAVOR (Poland), MOMENTUM CREW (Portugal), TOP 9 CREW (Russia), RADIKAL FORZE (Singapore), ARCOPORN CREW (Spain), FORMOSA (Taiwan), EASTSIDE BBOYS (Ukraine), RENEGADE ROCKERS (USA) and last year’s champions GAMBLERZ CREW (ROK). The Battles with be hosted by MC Jaz Ivy and MC Make1 with DJ Skeme Richards (USA), DJ Tee (Japan), DJ Renegade (UK), DJ Hooch (UK), DJ Wreckx (ROK).
