PIFF Day Three: Sunday’s Best Picks

“Paranormal Activity” 10:30 at Busan 1 in Nampo-dong promises to be the new “Blair Witch Project” with “rumors” that Steven Spielberg himself said his copy was haunted and refused to have a copy of the film any where near his film.

Also at The Busan, at 2:00pm, is “Love and Other Demons” Costa Rican directors courageous attempt to make a film based on a Gabriel Garcia Marquez novel most would consider “unfilmable.”

Again at The Busan, at 5:00 is Greek director Yorgos Lanthimos’ “Dogtooth” is a film Variety describes as “an eternal ‘Big Brother’ house as designed by Lars von Trier.

Finally, and again at The Busan at 8:00pm, is “Famous and Dead” a Brazilian production about a young pot smoking Bob Dylan fan promises to offer a look at an unfamiliar side of new Brazil far from the crime of the favelas.
