PIFF Day Four: Monday’s Best Picks

KP LIKE YOU KNOW IT ALL 03 600x324 PIFF Day Four: Mondays Best Picks

For early birds, there are two great ones: Hong Sang-soo’s latest, LIKE YOU KNOW IT ALL (see my review here), is playing at 10:00 at Haeundae Megabox, and Martin Scorsese’s 1976 TAXI DRIVER is playing at 11:00, Lotte Cinema. Also at Haeundae Megabox is a full day of Ha Kil-Chong films: THE POLLEN OF FLOWERS (1972) (10:00), HER FIDELITY (1973) (13:00), THE MARCH OF FOOLS (1975) (16:00) and I AM LOOKING FOR A WIFE (1976) (19:30). Over at Daeyoung Cinema, there is Jane Campion’s BRIGHT STAR at 17:00. And I am planning on checking out the Spanish thriller HIERRO at the Lotte Cinema, 20:00. Now that the weekend is over, tickets should not be a problem tomorrow or the rest of the week. Because of its size, there were plenty of sell-outs on the weekend, and I did talk to some who were frustrated by the experience. However, if you are still around in the next few days, life should be easier and the films themselves can take center stage.

All screening times and locations are posted at the PIFF website.
