This week, Colin Marshall’s podcast “The Marketplace of Ideas” has an hour-long interview with Jonathan Rosenbaum, who in my opinion is one of the great film critics in the history of the form. The conversation centers around many of the ideas in Rosenbaum’s newest book, “Goodbye Cinema, Hello Cinephilia,” which I would also highly recommend. It is of particular interest to cinephiles living abroad, since Rosenbaum focuses on cinephilia as an international phenomenon that has been greatly aided by the advent of new media.
