Seoul Podcast is easily the best podcast about Korea. Hosted by Joe McPherson of ZenKimchi and Jennifer Young of Jen’s Teaching Tips, the show has weekly guests for conversations about expat life  in Korea. The shows tends to run  into the three hour range but the topics are usually interesting enough to keep you listening. The Seoul Podcast is thoughtful and honest without taking itself to seriously. The hosts seem mostly preoccupied with questioning why Korea is the way it is and how that pisses off foreigners, a topic we all hate to love. Not all the episodes are available on iTunes so check the website archives for more.

Eat Your Kimchi is a video podcast. There is a huge array of short, well put-together videos on everything from how to get to What the Book to ordering McDonald’s delivery. A must see for newbies in Korea. Also, check out their webpage for tonnes more stuff.

Jen’s Teaching TipsSeoul Survivors specializes in topics related to ESL teaching and expat life. iTunes offers nine episodes, but there are forty-nine available in their archive. They offer advise for newbies on how to survive their first year at a hogwans and funny stories about living as a foreigner is Korea. Jen’s Teaching Tips is just want it sounds like and is hosted by the eponymous Jennifer Young, also of Seoul Podcast and Seoul Survivors.

The Korea Society is an American based non-profit organization that is “dedicated solely to the promotion of greater awareness, understanding, and cooperation between the people of the United States and Korea.” Their podcast topics cover political and cultural issues related to the United States and Korean relations.
